You send a tornado of emotions up my nerves
I get swept up in confusion
Your words, your distance, your concern
In a cyclone of conflicting ends
Spinning between desire and repulse
Struggling to conform and rebel
Tumbling with rooted dissent
Like spinning ribbons
Words looking Art and pretty
Tied in knots and hypocrisy
I hold back my tongue
Rippling pride on the run
Waving ribbons like a dance
Knowing no words can untangle
The mangle of our trust
